‘B.S. Brand Billboard Lobbyist Sanitizer’
Collaboration between Alexa Hatanaka and Devon Ostrom,  Multiples of 3×1″ intervention, 2009

In honour of over 80 meetings between billboard lobbyists and city councillors and the economic apocalypse that taxing billboards for art would cause, the Department of Political Hygiene distributed these special hand sanitizers within City Hall in conjunction with illegalsigns.ca. Photographs went twit-viral and the result was a cease-and-deist order as well as inclusion in features on Global Television and various other media outlets.
